Job summary

Working Nurse in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Per Diem PACU Registered Nurse to support the PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high-quality, individualized patient care in the pre-operative period of the surgical experience.

You will participate in direct patient care, maintain a clean and safe environment, perform pre/post-operative teaching, and help manage complications preoperatively and postoperatively while meeting scheduling needs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of PACU/Pre-Op RN experience.
• Computer skills are required.

As a PACU Registered Nurse (Per Diem), you’ll play a vital role in bringing that mission to life. Working closely with our PACU Charge Nurse in daily clinical operations, you’ll help planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care in the pre-operative period of the patient’s surgical experience. In this role, you will participate in direct patient care including maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment. You’ll perform pre/post-operative teaching to patients and/ or their significant other along with managing patient complications, emergencies, preoperatively, as well as postoperatively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of experience as a PACU/Pre-Op RN.

Other Skills And Abilities

• Working knowledge and experience in PACU from hospital or ambulatory surgery center including direct patient care.
• Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately.
• Ability to utilize resources in a timely, organized and cost effective manner.
• Knowledge of patient monitoring equipment.

Work Schedule

• Must be able to work a minimum of two 10 hour shifts per week to help support department scheduling needs.
