Job summary

Community Hospital, Canyon View Surgery Center in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU RN for a full-time on-site position. You will work with the surgical team to ensure safe patient care from pre-op through PACU, maintain sterile technique, and monitor critical equipment.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, 1 year of surgical experience, and active BLS; ACLS/PALS must be obtained within 6 months. CNOR and AORN affiliation preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited nursing program with at least 1 year of surgical experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months of hire.
• CNOR certification and AORN affiliation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with health care team to provide optimal care throughout the surgical experience.
• Identify risks to patients and staff, taking action to maximize safety.
• Ensure proper supplies and equipment are available and functioning for procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment, document issues and notify supervisor.
• Observe sterile techniques, assist with procedures, and operate monitoring equipment.
• Pursue ongoing education and participate in in-service trainings.
