Job summary

City of Hope in Goodyear, AZ seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for Pre-op/PACU per diem coverage. The successful candidate will administer sedation/analgesia per physician order, perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments, and assist with transfers from OR to ICU/Med Surg.

Qualifications include an Associate Degree in Nursing, AZ RN license (or compact state), BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year in preop/PACU. City of Hope is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in preop and PACU.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Arizona RN License or a Compact State RN License.
• BLS Certification required at hire; ACLS certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Administers and monitors sedation/analgesia per physician order.
• Able to provide thorough pre- and postoperative assessments.
• Comprehension of transferring patients from OR to ICU/Med Surg.
• Assess and treat unplanned hypothermia.
• Care for complex patients including hemodynamically compromised and ventilated patients.
