Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services seeks a Registered Nurse with peri-operative surgical services experience for a full-time pre-operative assessment role. Shift: Mon, Wed, Fri 6:30am–5:00pm, including vital signs, head-to-toe assessment, IV starts and transport to the surgical holding area.

Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, completing assessments, transfer documentation, and coordinating handoffs with OR staff.

Qualifikationen

• RN with peri-operative surgical services experience.
• Knowledge of anesthesia, medications and side effects.
• ACLS/PALS certification required.

Aufgaben

• Review patient history and pre-operative chart.
• Complete patient physical assessment.
• Complete intra departmental transfer sheet and assessment flow chart.
• Communication with OR staff regarding patient transfer.
• Conducts verbal or written hand off communication with OR staff.
