Job summary

Des Peres Square Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, is seeking a Full Time Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse. The RN will plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement nursing care for pre- and post-surgical patients, ensuring safety and compliance with standards.

Position is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, or call; some later evenings may be required. Des Peres Square Surgery Center offers competitive salary and benefits, including health and retirement

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state.
• ACLS certification is required.
• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care for pre- or post-surgical patients.
• Ensure highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while complying with nursing, JCAHO, and Federal/State standards.
• Care for patients from 1 month to geriatric.

Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse at Des Peres Square Surgery Center

The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. The RN cares for all ages from 1 month to geriatric.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• ACLS Required
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet needs of patients and unit.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
