Job summary

Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-Op and PACU nursing in an outpatient setting. The role focuses on comprehensive pre- and post-anesthesia patient care, ongoing recovery monitoring, pain management, and escalation as needed.

You will educate patients and families about perioperative care and recovery expectations, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe outcomes and a smooth continuum of care.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure.
• Strong clinical assessment and monitoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-op assessments and support readiness for anesthesia.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery status in PACU.
• Administer and manage pain control in collaboration with the care team.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Deliver patient and family education to promote understanding and safe recovery.
• Contribute to quality and safety initiatives and ongoing professional development.
