Job summary

United Surgical Partners International, Inc. is looking for an experienced RN Pre Op PACU to join Miami Surgical Suites. This full-time role provides continuous, high-quality nursing care for patients in the immediate post-anesthesia period and supports patient safety, comfort, and privacy.

The RN will assess and respond to patient needs, collaborate with physicians during recovery, and participate in discharge planning. A strong clinical background in PACU or critical care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years of experience in PACU or critical care preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Ability to prioritize and organize workload to meet patient and unit needs.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuity and quality nursing care for all patients in PACU.
• Deliver comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques as needed.

The PreOp/PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient’s condition, ensuring patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. The nurse may assist physicians in the procedure rooms with tasks such as conscious sedation and sterile techniques as needed. Responsibilities also include delivering comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.
