Job summary

USPI is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pre-op/PACU at the Folsom Surgery Center. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care, operate within perioperative policies, and collaborate with an interprofessional team. Weekdays only, no holidays or weekends, some evenings.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a CA license, and possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Two years of Pre-OP/PACU experience, preferably in ambulatory settings, is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current CA Nursing License.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU; ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Hourly Range: $50 - $72 / hour Wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.

The RN Pre-op/PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN Pre-op/PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Required Skills

Education, Training, And Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Pre-Op/PACU. Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.
