Job summary

Bon Secours Surgery Center at Harbour View is seeking a Pre-Op/PACU Manager to lead nursing care across Pre-op, PACU and PAT. The role emphasizes patient safety, staff coaching, and collaboration with physicians in a busy multispecialty center affiliated with USPI. Weekend, on-call and holiday requirements are not part of this position.

The Nurse Manager will coordinate departmental functions, support executive goals, and ensure high-quality patient experiences in Northern Suffolk, Virginia.

Qualifications

• Current VA Registered Nurse license required.
• BSN preferred; strong leadership background in ambulatory settings.
• BLS certification; ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• 2+ years of ambulatory clinical experience; prior supervisory work preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Pre-op, PACU and PAT functions and staffing.
• Partner with senior management to meet safety, quality and financial goals.
• Lead patient care standards; ensure clinical compliance and performance reviews.
• Provide guidance, coaching and supervision to nursing staff.
• Promote patient safety, service quality and positive relationships with staff and physicians.
