Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a strong peri-operative background.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures offered at Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services.
• Knowledge of anesthesia, medications and side effects.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• ACLS/PALS certification.

Responsibilities

• Review of patient history and pre-operative chart.
• Completion of patient physical assessment.
• Completion of intra‑departmental transfer sheet and assessment flow chart.
• Communication with O.R. staff regarding patient transfer.
• Verbal or written hand off communication with O.R. staff.
