Job summary

Chandler Regional Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Admissions Nurse to provide direct pre- and post-operative patient care in our dynamic units. You will develop comprehensive care plans, coordinate all aspects of patient preparation before surgery, document histories and assessments, and educate patients and families on pre-operative pain management and care processes.

The role emphasizes strong communication with physician offices, adherence to policies, and data collection for performance

Qualifications

• Three (3) years experience in OR, Ambulatory Surgery or Pre-Admission Clinic knowledge of surgical procedures.
• Associates of Nursing, Diploma, Bachelors of Nursing or Foreign Equivalent
• Registered Nurse: AZ

Responsibilities

• Develops the plan of care, including the discharge process
• Communicates pertinent information to physician office staff
• Coordinates all aspects of patient preparation before the day of surgery
• Documents complete history/assessment/care of patient.
• Provides thorough pre-operative pain management education for patient/family education
