Job summary

Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is seeking a Pre-MBA Associate for its Tactical Value team in New York. You will work directly with senior investors on evaluating opportunities, building projections, and preparing investment materials throughout the lifecycle of investments.

The role requires 1–3 years in investment banking or private equity, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in investment banking or private equity.
• Experience in M&A, industry coverage, or capital markets preferred.
• Strong ability to learn quickly and interact well with others.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on macro themes, investment ideas, and target assets.
• Build financial models for company projections and transaction scenarios.
• Produce investment memoranda and support materials on investment opportunities.
• Coordinate with advisors and consultants on due diligence items.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and interface with management teams.
