Job summary

Orionplacement in Los Angeles is seeking a skilled plaintiff personal injury attorney to own the legal strategy for matters from intake through settlement or referral to litigation. You will evaluate liability, damages, and policy limits, negotiate with insurers, counsel clients, and collaborate with a team of case managers and litigation attorneys to move cases efficiently toward resolution.

Qualifications

• Active California State Bar membership.
• 2+ years of plaintiff personal injury experience.
• Strong understanding of California negligence law, insurance practices, liability analysis, and damages evaluation.
• Experience negotiating with insurance carriers for plaintiff PI claims.
• Ability to independently manage a high-volume PI caseload.
• Strong writing, analytical, negotiation, and client counseling skills.
• Experience with auto accidents, premises liability, catastrophic injury, or related PI matters is valued.

Responsibilities

• Own the legal strategy for assigned personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation referral.
• Evaluate liability, comparative negligence, coverage, damages, policy limits, and overall case value.
• Develop strategies to strengthen liability and damages while progressing each case.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters and defense representatives to maximize client recovery.
• Counsel clients throughout pre-litigation regarding strategy, treatment progression, settlement expectations, and litigation options.
• Review medical records, bills, treatment history, and damages.
• Identify opportunities for investigation, expert involvement, and stronger case positioning.
• Determine when matters should stay pre-litigation or go to litigation.
• Ensure cases are fully developed and litigation-ready before referral to the litigation team.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, Negotiators, Medical Records Specialists, Legal Assistants, and Litigation Attorneys.
