Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Call clients to verify treatment progress and coordinate referrals.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters and lien companies; request documents.
  • Order and summarize medical records and bills; verify balances.
  • Monitor medical expenses and input payments in case management software.
  • Request lien ledgers and compare to medical bills; remove unrelated charges.
  • Assist attorneys with case-specific tasks.

Job description

A highly regarded law firm in the Denver Tech Center area has an immediate opening for a Pre-Litigation Paralegal to join their collaborative team of legal professionals. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of recent personal injury pre-litigation experience in Colorado. This position requires empathy and patience when dealing with injured clients and the tenacity and expertise to assist in all aspects of pre-litigation case management.

Responsibilities
  • Regular calls with clients to verify treatment progress, ongoing complaints, and treatment providers. Assist with referrals and setting up treatment liens if needed.
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters. Provide timely treatment updates, send bills for payment, and respond to requests for documents and information.
  • Communicate with lien companies, health insurance companies, and medical providers.
  • Order and summarize all medical records and bills.
  • Verify any outstanding balances with medical providers.
  • Monitor client's medical expenses and input payments and outstanding balances in case management software and billing summaries.
  • Request lien ledgers and compare to case-related medical bills. Request removal of unrelated medical bills if necessary.
  • Case-specific tasks as assigned by attorneys.
Qualifications
  • At least 3-4 years of personal injury pre-litigation experience at a Colorado law firm.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work autonomously
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Must currently reside in the Denver metro area. Out-of-state candidates will not be considered.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a salary of $65,000 - $75,000+ depending on experience and a comprehensive benefits package including:
