We are looking for people who don’t just want a job, they want purpose and impact.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Assist attorneys and claims verification specialists in reviewing and assessing the merits of client’s Personal Injury claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records, documents, and evidence to support early case evaluation and valuation
  • Investigate cases to determine compensability, including gathering and analyzing facts, evidence, and applicable legal theories to assess the strength and viability of each claim

  • Communicate directly with insurance adjusters regarding no-fault and liability claims, including following up on coverage determinations, resolving disputes, and advancing claim progress
  • Prepare and file no-fault applications and Motor Vehicle Accident Indemnification Corporation (MVIAC) applications on behalf of clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist clients in obtaining medical referrals and coordinate with treating providers to ensure clients are receiving appropriate care and that treatment is properly documented throughout the life of the case
  • Prepare and file retainer statements and closing statements with the Office of Court Administration in compliance with New York State rules and applicable deadlines
  • Support the development of claims from intake through pre-suit resolution by gathering documentation, summarizing liability and damages, and ensuring complete, accurate case files prior to demand
  • Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, liability documentation, and supporting evidence to maximize claim value and facilitate negotiations
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase, providing updates, requesting documentation, explaining processes, and maintaining compassionate, consistent communication
  • Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage, provide documentation, track claim status, and assist attorneys in negotiating settlements
  • Maintain organized electronic case files, track deadlines and treatment progress, update case management systems, and ensure all pre-litigation milestones are met efficiently
  • Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable legal rules, firm policies, and regulatory requirements

At TopDog Law, everyone is expected to think critically, communicate clearly, and take ownership of their work.
