Job summary

TopDog Law is seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support Personal Injury pre-litigation matters in Georgia. You will organize records, summarize medical bills, and prepare demand packages to maximize claim value.

You will work closely with attorneys and case managers, track deadlines, and maintain compassionate client communications while ensuring file accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of experience supporting Personal Injury pre-litigation matters in Georgia.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing and assessing merits of PI claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records to support early evaluation and valuation.
• Support development of claims from intake through resolution by gathering documentation and ensuring complete case files prior to demand.
• Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, and supporting evidence to maximize value.
• Serve as a primary contact for clients during pre-litigation, providing updates and maintaining compassionate communication.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage and assist negotiations.
• Maintain organized electronic case files, track deadlines, and update case management systems.
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with applicable rules and firm policies.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assist attorneys and case managers in reviewing and assessing the merits of clients’ Personal Injury claims by organizing, reviewing, and summarizing records, documents, and evidence to support early case evaluation and valuation
• Support the development of claims from intake through resolution by gathering documentation, summarizing liability and damages, and ensuring complete, accurate case files prior to demand
• Prepare and organize demand packages, including medical summaries, billing summaries, liability documentation, and supporting evidence to maximize claim value and facilitate negotiations
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients during the pre-litigation phase, providing updates, requesting documentation, explaining processes, and maintaining compassionate, consistent communication
• Communicate with insurance carriers to confirm coverage, provide documentation, track claim status, and assist attorneys in negotiating settlements
• Maintain organized electronic case files, track deadlines and treatment progress, update case management systems, and ensure all pre-litigation milestones are met efficiently
• Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and compliance with all applicable legal rules, firm policies, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Required:

• 2–6 years of experience supporting Personal Injury pre-litigation matters on cases in Georgia
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience requesting, reviewing, and summarizing medical records and bills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with a team

Nice to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate (not required)
• Experience in high-volume or fast-growing law firms
• Familiarity with Personal Injury claims processes and insurance procedures
• Experience with case management software (e.g., Filevine, Clio, SmartAdvocate)
• Comfort working in evolving systems and processes
