Job summary

Witherite Law Group in Dallas is seeking a Case Investigator to uncover negligence by drivers, companies, and other factors in personal injury claims. You will perform social media and background research, conduct database web searches, and draft detailed reports following company policies.

The role requires strong research and communication skills, confidentiality, and the ability to manage sensitive information within a high-performing team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree a plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and research abilities; detail-oriented workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Identify all parties involved in personal injury cases and collect contact information.
  • Conduct investigations across company websites, government portals, and safety sites.
  • Research social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Read, analyze and distill large data sets to support investigations.
  • Provide in-depth background reports and social media findings.
  • Identify potential insurance carriers and notify them on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare and mail letters of representation or related correspondence.
  • Communicate findings to management and attorneys; maintain confidentiality.

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Case Investigator is to discover the negligence of drivers, companies, and other leading factors, by conducting social media and background research in the investigations of personal injury claims. The Case Investigator will conduct key database and internet searches utilizing best practices abiding by company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quickly and correctly identify all parties involved in personal injury cases and their contact information.
  • Perform investigative research on a number of company and business websites, federal, state and local government websites and safety regulatory websites.
  • Perform investigative research on a variety of social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Read, analyze, and distill large amounts of information from all sources and apply it to an investigation.
  • Provide in-depth reports on background data and social media findings.
  • Identify and notify all potential insurance carriers of the claim on behalf of our clients.
  • Generate and mail letters of representation/correspondence to parties involved as required.
  • Communicate with management and attorneys regarding investigative findings.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding subjects under investigation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or any related field, a plus.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and research skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills including a passion for finding links and correlation of potential negligence.
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of discretion in dealing with confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and FileVine (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
  • Office environment with normal business hours necessary to satisfactorily perform job functions.
  • Stationary Position – Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time.
  • Move or Traverse – This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, meeting rooms, office machinery such as a copy machine/printer. May occasionally ascends/descends the stairs to get to other floors, cafeteria and parking area.
  • Dexterity – constantly operates a computer and other office machinery such as a copy machine/printer.
  • Move, Transport, Position, Put, Install, Remove - Occasionally moves supplies weighing up to 10 pounds for various presentation and event needs.
  • Communicate, Detect, Converse with, Discern, Convey, Express oneself, Exchange information - The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Detect, Determine, Perceive, Identify, Recognize, Judge, Observe, Inspect, Estimate, Assess - The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
