Job summary

Clarvida in Taft, California is seeking a Pre-Licensed Therapist to provide individual and group counseling, supporting clients toward personal, social, educational, and vocational growth.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field, active AMFT/APCC/ACSW credentials, and a minimum of two years’ mental health experience, with a valid California driver's license and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid registration as Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW).
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with mental health patients (inpatient and/or outpatient).
• Valid California driver’s license and active auto insurance.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients.
• Support clients in achieving personal, social, educational, and vocational goals.
• Deliver mental health services that promote independence and family empowerment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality care and service delivery.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in treatment planning and case reviews.
• Coordinate care with internal and external providers as needed.
• Adhere to ethical standards, HIPAA regulations, and organizational policies.
• Support recovery-oriented and client-centered care approaches.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
