Job summary

Stetson University in DeLand, FL, seeks a Pre-Law Advisor/Law Ready Associate Director to design and direct initiatives supporting Law Ready's mission. You will serve as the primary admissions counselor for Law Ready and advise students on majors, LSAT prep, and law school applications.

As part of Academic Affairs, you will coordinate 4+3/3+3 pathways, support Mock Trial and Moot Court, and partner with Admissions and Institutional Research to track outcomes and improve programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an accredited college or university; J.D. or related advanced degree strongly preferred.
• At least two years of experience in higher education setting working with students.
• Must possess current driver license and an insurable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Law Academic Advisor for undergraduates in Law Ready; guidance on law field, major selection, experiential learning, LSAT readiness, and law school applications.
• Recruit prospective students; coordinate with Admissions; travel for events; maintain websites and communications for Law Ready.
• Direct and manage the 4+3/3+3 Pathway Cohort; track progress and recruit students into pathways.
• Coordinate Mock Trial and Moot Court team logistics; travel and budget management.
• Staff advisor for Law Ready Executive Council; support student groups.
• Partner with Institutional Research to track metrics and produce reports.
• Organize annual events like orientation, homecoming, and senior decision panel.
