Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Pre‑K Teacher Assistant to support a Lead Teacher in Arlington Central School District, NY. Help four-year-olds build skills and confidence for future school success in a structured, nurturing Pre‑K environment.

You will implement lesson plans, assist with activities, and help children with personal care routines while maintaining safety and a positive, inclusive classroom.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Teacher Assistant Certification required.
• Associate’s degree in education or related field preferred.
• Must successfully pass all state background checks.
• Experience in childcare or classroom support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support lesson plans and daily routines under Lead Teacher.
• Assist with learning activities and smooth transitions.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Provide supervision and help with personal care routines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
• Support Lead Teacher in addressing and planning for individual student needs.
• Maintain consistent attendance to support UPK program requirements.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Lead Teacher or supervisor.

HOURS: Monday-Friday 9:00 am - 2:15 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Lead Teacher to support and carry out lesson plans, classroom activities, and daily routines

Requirements

Qualifications

Physical Requirements

This role is active and hands‑on. You should be able to:

• Lift and carry children when necessary


• Bend, kneel, reach, run, and sit on the floor as part of classroom activities


• Supervise children closely at all times


• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
