Legacy Traditional Schools in Texas is seeking a Preschool Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher, supervise students, assist with meals, and help with early numeracy and social skills.

The role involves classroom organization, assisting during lunch, maintaining records, and providing a safe, nurturing environment. A High School Diploma and strong communication skills are required; flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (US Equivalency Required) or GED.
• Must be able to interact positively with students, parents, teachers and administrators.
• Have proven experience working with young students.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning, developing, and implementing the age‑appropriate curriculum.
• Provide support to lead teachers in devising and imparting lesson plans daily.
• Assists students individually or in small groups with lesson assignments.
• Adapts activities and materials to support classroom goals.
• Monitors students in various settings for a safe learning environment.
• Assist students during lunchtime, toileting, and washing activities.
• Enforce cleanup activities after lunchtime by modeling behavior.
• Maintains classroom equipment, records, and files for safety and readiness.
• Performs general clerical tasks to help prepare instructional materials.
• Provide nurturing and comforting environment for young students.
