Job Description

The Goddard School, an early childhood education center, is seeking qualified Teachers. We are looking for fun and energetic Pre-K Teachers for our school.

Daily Responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans.
• Meet the individual needs of the children.
• Communicate with parents.
• Participate in staff and training meetings.
• Design appropriate room arrangements to support the goals and developmental levels of the children.
• Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Present expectations appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
• Plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff.
• Build teamwork.
• Use assessment tools.
• Show a commitment to continuing education.

Teachers are responsible for ensuring compliance with Goddard's industry-leading Quality Assurance standards. Lead Teachers write and implement their own lesson plans based on Goddard Developmental Guidelines and monthly themes. Most importantly, they create a positive learning environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning.

Job Requirements

• B.A. Degree in Education or 90-hour Certification.
• Prior classroom experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong written and communication skills.
