Job summary

Sand Springs Public Schools seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional for the Early Childhood Education Center (ECEC). The role supports Pre-K students with IEP goals, assists during meals, classes, and therapy, and helps maintain a structured learning environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 48 hours of college credit or passing paraprofessional test.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; completion of OSDE CPI Paraprofessional Training; CPR and First Aid.
• Pass National Criminal History Check; obtain Tiered Certification per OSDE.

Responsibilities

• Monitors students during district-provided transportation.
• Assists with meals and meal cleanup.
• Assists with classwork and therapy services as needed.
• Supports students with motor, balance, social, and life skills.
• Assists with personal care as needed (dressing, toileting).
• Attends IEP and other meetings as requested.
• Maintains confidentiality and follows policies and procedures.
