Job summary

Sand Springs Public Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year at the Sand Springs Early Childhood Education Center. Qualifications

Requires 48 hours of college credit or passing paraprofessional test.
Requires high school diploma or GED plus additional options (associate degree, 48 credit hours, OGET test, or Praxis ParaProfessional).
CPR and First Aid certification and OSDE background checks are required.

Responsibilities

Assists the Special Education Teacher with instructional activities and interventions.
Attends IEP meetings and other trainings as requested.
Maintains confidentiality of student information and follows all laws and policies.
Provides one-on-one or small-group support to students to meet individualized education plan goals.
Scores tests and records progress as directed by teachers and administrators.
Supervises students in hallways, lunchrooms, and playgrounds and assists with classroom tasks.
