Job summary

Woodbridge School District is seeking an Elementary Special Education Pre-K Teacher for the Woodbridge Early Childhood Education Center. This full-time, 10-month, benefit-eligible position requires Delaware certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education with Pre-K Special Education, plus state Special Education certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be eligible for Delaware teaching certification in Early Childhood or Elementary Education with Pre-K Special Education.
• Must hold or be eligible for Delaware special education certification; Pre-K and/or Autism certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Pathways to Proficient Reading or LETRS certification preferred.
• Experience with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
• Ability to design differentiated instruction that meets all learners’ needs.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to an inclusive, positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with state and district standards across subjects.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners.
• Use technology, collaboration, and project-based learning to engage students.
• Create a positive, respectful classroom environment with clear routines.
• Develop and monitor IEPs for students with disabilities and collaborate with families and specialists.
• Lead small group or one-on-one instruction to address gaps.
• Maintain accurate student progress and records.
