Harlem Gems, the pre-kindergarten program of Harlem Children’s Zone, seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to support preschool scholars across centers, provide direct services, and coach teachers and families. The role emphasizes collaboration with CPSE, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote kindergarten readiness.

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Valid NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Minimum five years of experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably in an urban, early childhood education setting.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• Experience collaborating with CPSE, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of child development, language acquisition, and early intervention practices.

Responsabilidades

• Direct Scholar Support: provide speech and language services to scholars identified as at risk or awaiting CPSE provider assignments.
• Observation & Assessment: conduct classroom observations and share findings with leadership, staff, and families.
• Collaborate with CPSE, families, and teachers to integrate language supports into daily routines.
• Teacher Coaching & Professional Development: provide feedback and model language-supportive practices for staff.
• Participate in CPSE meetings and contribute to IEP development and review.
• Serve as a liaison between Harlem Gems, families, and external service providers.
