Fulton County Schools seeks a Paraprofessional to assist with classroom organization and instruction at Crabapple Crossing Elementary. You will work under supervision to support teachers, prepare instructional materials, and reinforce learning objectives for Pre-K students.

The role includes helping with daily routines, monitoring hallways and lunch/recess areas, and assisting with learning centers. Experience with early childhood settings is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment or have Technical Certificate of Credit in Early Childhood Education in lieu of passing GACE.
• Must meet Bright From the Start requirements as indicated under Education.
• 0–1 year of experience required.

Responsabilidades

• Works closely with the Pre-Kindergarten teacher and students.
• Follows the operating guidelines required by the Georgia Pre-Kindergarten program.
• Assists the teacher in preparing educational materials for students.
• Works individually with students or in small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Assists with all aspects of the daily routine, including distributing/collecting supplies and attendance.
• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties.
• Assists with preparing and maintaining learning centers for instruction.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the administrator.

Summary

Essential Duties

• Works closely with the Pre-Kindergarten teacher and students
• Follows the operating guidelines required by the Georgia Pre-Kindergarten program
• Assists the teacher in the preparation of educational materials for students

• Participates in lunchroom, recess, hall-monitoring, and bus duties
• Assists with preparing and maintaining learning centers for instruction
• Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator

Required Education

High School Diploma or GED required

Must pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment or must have Technical Certificate of Credit in Early Childhood Education in lieu of passing GACE Assessment an Associate's Degree or higher at a GaPSC accepted accredited institution is acceptable

Certification/Licensure

Must meet Bright From the Start requirements as indicated under "Education" above

Experience Qualifications

0 - 1 year of experience required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Good organizational skills
• Classroom experience and/or proven ability to work with children preferred

• Ability to push or pull a maximum of 50 pounds
