Job summary

AmeriCorps’ Early Learning Tutor role places you in a pre-kindergarten classroom to boost early literacy and math through proven activities, partnering with a teacher to guide discussions, reading, writing, singing, and play.

You’ll receive training and coaching, plus an education award upon completion. The program runs 08/24/2026–06/12/2027, with a full-time schedule in the Minneapolis area and a focus on student growth and community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Be a caring adult who's focused on helping students thrive.
• Support preschoolers with learning activities throughout the day.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into tracking software.
• Commit to your own growth through coaching and training.
• Share your experience with the community.
