Job summary

SAGE Prep in Georgia seeks a passionate Georgia Lottery Pre‑K Lead Teacher to prepare scholars for kindergarten through engaging, hands‑on instruction and meaningful relationships.

The ideal candidate will meet Bright from the Start, DECAL, and background screening requirements, hold a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, and possess CPR/First Aid credentials. Previous GA Lottery Pre‑K experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
• Meet Bright from the Start, DECAL, and background screening requirements.
• Previous Georgia Lottery Pre‑K teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructional program for Pre‑K scholars.
• Provide structure in the classroom by developing and clearly enforcing rules and expectations for class discussion and activities.
• Follow the programs policies and procedures for conduct and discipline.
• Employ a variety of educational techniques to instruct children.
• Observe each child to help them improve social competencies and self‑esteem.
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve arguments.
• Guide children to develop artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum.
• Organize nap, snack hours, and supervise children to ensure safety.
• Track children’s progress and report to parents.
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand children’s background.
• Collaborate with other educators.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom per health and safety standards.
• Participate in department and parent meetings.
