Job summary

Kiddie Academy of Collierville is seeking a warm, organized Pre-K Lead Teacher to guide our oldest learners through their final year before kindergarten. You will manage the classroom, mentor an Assistant Teacher, and serve as the main contact for families.

The role emphasizes creating a safe, engaging environment, implementing Life Essentials curriculum, and meeting state licensing requirements. You'll partner with families and the Academy Director to support children's growth.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching in a preschool or Pre-K classroom.
• CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Familiar with kindergarten readiness standards.
• Strong classroom management and positive guidance.
• Clear, warm communication with families.
• Reliable, organized, able to lead a team.
• Meets state licensing requirements and background check.
• Completes annual training hours as required.
• Able to lift 40 pounds and move with children.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lessons using the Kiddie Academy Life Essentials curriculum.
• Create hands-on activities and defined interest areas for each child.
• Observe, document, and assess progress; share results with families.
• Supervise children during meals, transitions, outdoors, and rest time.
• Direct the Assistant Teacher and evaluate classroom staff.
• Communicate with families via updates and newsletters.
• Attend staff meetings and Academy events; participate in planning.
• Follow Tennessee licensing regulations and policies.
• Assist with coverage in other classrooms as needed.
