Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in New Jersey is seeking a Pre-K Family Worker to support children and families within our centers. Your role focuses on collaborating with School District staff to coordinate family involvement, health and social services, and data sharing to meet children's needs.

You will report to the Center Director and work with district social service staff, ensuring family visits meet district requirements; you will provide a warm, safe, English-speaking environment for

Qualifications

• Meet state specific Pre-K education requirements for the role.
• Deliver a warm, responsive, and service-oriented experience for children and families.
• Able to see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children.
• Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the School District staff to ensure that activities for family involvement and social services occur.
• Coordinate participation in health and social services designated by the School District to serve the needs of the children and their families.
• Provide all requested data to the School District.
• Report to the Center Director and collaborate with appropriated District social services staff.
• Meet requirements for family visits as outlined by the School District
• Not serve as teacher, administrator, substitute, or in any other capacity during the same hours as you are serving as the family worker.
