The University of New Mexico is seeking a Family Literacy Specialist on the Main Albuquerque campus. This student employment role supports Pre-K age children (3-5) in the South Valley, Southeast Heights, or Bernalillo locations, Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM.

You will assist the Lead Teacher, implement developmentally appropriate activities, and help with lesson plans under NM Pre-K guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a UNM student (half-time minimum).
• Must have a Work-Study Award.
• Availability Monday–Friday 8 AM–5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide Pre-K support within the family literacy program.
• Assist with coordination of events and activities.
• Work with Lead Teacher to document observations and growth of children in the program.
