Community For Learning (CFL) seeks an Elementary After-School Supervisor for UNM off-campus work-study positions across Albuquerque. The role supports 15-18 hours weekly, 2-6 pm, in an after-school program with Kinder-5th grade.

This program requires a work schedule of 15 - 18 hours per week, andavailability for afternoon program 2-6pm.

Position Summary:

This is an off-campus work-study position with Community ForLearning located throughout the Albuquerque Metro Area.

Community For Learning (CFL) Project SEAL provides social, emotional &academic learning in fifteen Albuquerque school communities. Primarily withKinder-5th grade. Program designed to help at-risk students tobuild resiliency, improve academic skills, and promote social skills. Supervisorswill work together with CFL staff to create a safe, educated, effective, andempowered school community that will improve the lives of all that participate.

Programming includes opportunities to developacademic skills, engage in recreation and outdoor play, participate inmeaningful service-learning projects, enhance creativity and express themselvesthrough art, explore and develop interests and talents, learn to work as partof a team, develop positive character traits, and develop leadership skills.

Supervisor responsibilities will include:

  • Will follow all state required regulations at all times.
  • Manage staff at program
  • Provide support and maintain a good working relationship with students, community and staff to ensure a quality program.
  • Various administrative responsibilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.

Applicants must behardworking, caring, responsible, and eager to work with children and theirfamilies. Experience working with children and community is helpful. FluentSpanish or ASL speakers are strongly encouraged to apply. Instructors must bewilling to act as an effective member of a team. Strong interpersonal andproblem-solving skills, flexibility and an ability to conduct professionaland considerate interactions are a must.
