Job summary

Children of Destiny in Philadelphia seeks a Certified Pre-K/Elementary Teacher to join a small classroom setting of about 13 children with assistant teacher support. We welcome candidates with a bachelor’s degree who are actively pursuing Pennsylvania teacher certification; we can assist with an emergency pathway while you complete certification requirements.

Compensation starts at $27/hour for certified teachers and $24/hour for those pursuing certification, with benefits and professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; pursuing certification acceptable.
• PA Pre-K Counts classroom experience helpful.
• Certified Pre-K/Elementary teacher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach Pre-K/elementary curriculum in a small class (~13 students).
• Collaborate with assistant teacher and support staff.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and growth.

If you already have a *bachelor’s degree and are actively working toward Pennsylvania teacher certification*, you may also be considered.

For eligible candidates, Children of Destiny can assist with exploring a pathway toward an *emergency teaching permit/certification while you work toward completing your permanent certification requirements.*

Compensation

*PA Certified Teacher:* Starting at $27/hour

*Bachelor’s Degree / Working Toward Certification: $24/hour
