Job summary

Acelero Learning, Inc. is seeking a Preschool Teacher - Pre-K Counts Certified for a Head Start classroom serving 3 to 5 year olds in Philadelphia.

You will collaborate with another teacher to operate a classroom with up to 20 children, implementing curriculum and assessments to achieve developmental outcomes. You’ll plan and deliver developmentally appropriate experiences, prepare lesson plans, and develop individualized plans while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required
• PA Pre-K Counts Certification required
• Travel up to 10% locally or long-distance for work-related meetings

Responsibilities

• Plans written curriculum with development goals and activities for 3- to 5-year-olds
• Develops daily lesson plans and posts them for parents and visitors
• Creates individual education plans (IEPs) for children with disabilities when needed
• Provides print-rich environment to support literacy and numeracy
• Supervises meals, field trips, and outdoor activities in accordance with licensing
