Job summary

Cornerstone Education Group in Detroit seeks a Pre-Kindergarten Classroom Support Staff to assist Lead and Associate Teachers in the GSRP classroom, promoting a nurturing environment and positive relationships with students and families.

The role supports instruction, helps with meals, outdoor activities, and transitions, and ensures health and safety compliance while working closely with teachers to plan activities for the classroom and playground.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Preschool CDA preferred.
• Ability to obtain background checks and communicate effectively with students.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow health/safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide program support in instructional and related activities in the GSRP classrooms.
• Engage with students to promote vocabulary and expressive language.
• Assist with meals, outdoor experiences, and activities; work with Lead/Associate teachers.
• Actively supervise students at all times using active supervision strategies.
• Follow district/state licensing health and safety procedures.
