Job summary

Montgomery County R-II is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to assist certified staff in helping students meet instructional goals. You will support reading, math, language arts, and computer learning, in small groups or one-on-one, and help with assessments and materials preparation.

The role involves supervising students in non-instructional areas, assisting with field trips, and supporting parent communication to foster student involvement and inclusion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completed college coursework or passed required exam (NCLB).
• Experience with special needs students desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide students to reinforce reading, language arts, math, and computer instruction.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare materials and reinforce instructional skills according to student needs.
• Keep records documenting student learning and performance.
• Support classroom behavior management to keep a safe, orderly environment.
