THE 21ST CENTURY LEARNING GROU in Asbury Park, NJ, is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support the Lead Teacher in fostering a safe and engaging environment for children aged 2½ to 10. The role involves implementing lesson plans, supervising young learners during various activities, and aiding in their social and emotional development. Candidates should have a high school diploma, experience with children, and possess qualities such as patience and strong communication skills. This position offers daytime hours with additional afternoon support for the aftercare program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication, patience, and classroom management skills required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Support children’s learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, transitions, meals, and rest time.
• Monitor behavior and encourage respectful interactions.
• Help maintain attendance and follow sign‑in/sign‑out procedures.
