Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Experience with young children in daycare or preschool.
• Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet NJ licensing requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate learning activities.
• Supervise and engage children during afternoon routines, including snack time, rest time, and play.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all children.
• Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement techniques.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during afternoon pick-up.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space.
• Observe and report on children's developmental progress and daily needs.
