Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a Pre‑K Assistant, Exceptional Children, to support classroom teachers and help deliver instruction under general supervision. You will assist with small groups, supervise students, and help implement learning activities in a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Requirements include CDA credential and ongoing coursework toward an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood, plus prior experience in an early childhood setting preferred.

  • Experience or coursework toward early childhood education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist children individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Supervise students in classrooms and common areas.
  • Present material under teacher direction using various delivery methods.
  • Prepare lesson materials and classroom displays for assigned classroom(s).
  • Participate in daily bus, car, and van transportation duties for student arrival and departure.
