Job summary

Constellation Energy Corporation is seeking a Pre-Journeyman - Plumbing Service Technician to perform a wide range of plumbing services for residential customers and promote additional services offered by the company. The role requires advanced knowledge of plumbing tools, ability to read blueprints, and experience with sewer cleaning machines.

A Maryland Plumbing Apprentice License (4 years) or Journeyman Natural Gas Fitter License (2 years) is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of 7,500 hours training under a licensed Master Plumber or 3,750 hours with Journeyman Natural Gas Fitter License.

Primary Purpose of Position

The Pre-Journeyman - Plumbing Service technician performs a wide range of plumbing services for residential customers and promotes the sale of all other services offered by our Company to customers.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Installs and modifies existing plumbing equipment according to installation instructions, supervisor instructions and all applicable county or city codes.
• Performs minimal service on steam boilers with supervision.
• Performs a wide range of plumbing services to include repair or replacement of faucets, toilets, domestic water lines and drain lines.
• Modifies and fabricates pipe fittings as needed per installation.
• Identifies electrical, plumbing and safety problems that apply to the installation and takes necessary corrective action.
• Performs clerical duties necessary to complete requests for service.

Minimum Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of the tools and materials related to the plumbing service field
• Must possess advanced ability to read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• Advanced ability in the usage of sewer cleaning machines
• Advanced skills in customer relations
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing
• Advanced skills in sales with the ability to recommend and promote all services offered by the company
• Ability to work weekends and overtime
• Eligibility to meet Company driving standards, including possession of a valid driver's license
• Must have held a valid Maryland Plumbing Apprentice License for 4 years, or for 2 years with a valid Journey Natural Gas Fitter License
• Must have completed 7,500 hours of training under the control and direction of a licensed Master Plumber, or 3,750 hours of applicable training with a valid Journey Natural Gas Fitter License
