Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field with at least 2 years of counseling or advising experience.
• Experience in academic advising, admissions, or student affairs preferred.
• Substitutions allowed: additional relevant education may count toward experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise undergraduate students pursuing health professional careers through individual and group sessions, email, in-person, and Zoom.
• Promote competitive applications via shadowing, service, leadership, research, and test prep opportunities.
• Teach a Pre-Health Professions Orientation class or internship course.
• Participate in professional development and recruitment of pre-health students.
• Serve as subject matter expert on curricula, admissions standards, and professional school requirements.
• Assist with the Pre-Professional Application Course (PPAC) to evaluate credentials.

Education

Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, Communications, or related field
