Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience in higher education/medical education.
• Master's degree in a health-related profession, Counseling, Higher Education Administration, Leadership or Education from an accredited college or university.
• Familiarity with pre-medical/pre-health students.
• Familiarity with STEM academic programs.
• Experience with program development and student outreach.
• Understanding of core concepts, values, and competencies of Academic Advising.

Responsabilités

• This role provides 1:1 and group pre-health advising and coaching for students exploring health professions.
• Advises on pre-requisites and entrance exams (MCAT, DAT) and admissions requirements for health schools.
• Promotes experiential learning opportunities, clinical shadowing, and research for pre-health students.
• Guides students through the medical school and health-professional application process and timelines.
• Develops and delivers pre-health programming, events, and workshops; conducts data collection and assessment.
• Collaborates with advisors, admissions, registrar, faculty, deans, and aligns PPAC goals with campus services.
• Represents PPAC at Open Houses, Admissions Day, and events, including weekends/evenings when needed.
• Manages PPAC email, weekly newsletter, student outreach, and social media.
