Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring a Pre-Engineered Technician for in-person work in Saint Paul, MN. The role covers installation, commissioning, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of pre-engineered fire suppression systems with minimal supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in fire and life safety or as an apprentice, and a clean driving record. Travel to job sites and strict adherence to NFPA standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in fire and life safety industry preferred or apprentice level.
• Comfort with NFPA 17/17A/96 standards and manufacturer requirements.
• Willingness to travel to job sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and repair pre-engineered systems per NFPA and manufacturer specifications.
• Identify deficiencies and perform corrective actions; ensure AHJ compliance.
• Communicate system condition and recommendations to customers; compile reports.
• Respond to emergency service calls; maintain tools and vehicle; ensure safe workspace.
