Job summary

Power Construction, LLC in Chicago, IL, is seeking a senior pre-construction manager to lead the pre-construction phase and work with the superintendent to ensure successful project completion.

You will develop client relationships, estimate from concept to construction documents, manage budgets and bidding, negotiate contracts, and coordinate schedules and close-out activities, with emphasis on client satisfaction and profitability.

Qualifications

• Four-year construction-related degree or equivalent.
• Extensive (4-10 years) experience in construction, design, finance, and staff management.
• Superior communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop client relationships and ensure satisfaction.
• Estimate projects from conceptual to construction documents.
• Oversee budgeting and bidding activities.
• Create initial estimating schedule; assist with construction scheduling.
• Negotiate and enforce contracts.
• Review project costs with superintendent to stay within budget.
• Ensure bond and insurance compliance.
• Maintain subcontractor relationships and assist with conflict resolution.
• Coordinate site logistics and schedules.
• Coordinate close-out activities and office support.
