Job summary

IES is seeking a Pre-Construction Data Ops Specialist to build, maintain, and analyze data operations within the Pre-Construction department. You will collaborate with Compliance and Management to assess ongoing operations and provide data reports and visualizations to drive continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes creating PowerBI and Excel reporting, performing in-depth project estimate analysis, and developing tools for data automation.

Qualifications

Minimum of three (3) years training experience or related role.
Five (5) years project management experience in telecommunications, electrical or related field preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of estimating process and procedures to produce estimates.
Experience with job costing, job planning, quality management, safety training and contract administration.
Prior MS Excel and data science experience; PowerBI preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Bachelor’s Degree; Engineering, Data Science or Computer Science preferred.
Able to read and interpret project documents and blueprints.
Willingness to travel within branch/region as needed.

Responsibilities

Develop PowerBI and Excel reporting tools for departmental metrics.
Provide in-depth analysis and recurring report data on ongoing estimates.
Interview PMs and managers to identify root causes and recommend solutions.
Create reporting metrics using Spectrum and IESOS ERP systems.
Build tools to automate data and improve organizational efficiency.
Lead training sessions on software applications via webinars and virtual classes.
Maintain quality standards and support audits.
Assist in designing new training programs and updating existing ones.
Support broader data operations within Pre-Construction.
