The Pre-Closing Processor role requires detail orientation, reliability, and teamwork. Competitive benefits apply, with salary hourly in the $22.00–$31.25 range.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Real Estate and/or Title industry experience.
• Demonstrated proactiveness and integrity in daily tasks.
• Strong organization and teamwork with attention to detail.
• Experience or preference for Qualia software and notary status.

Responsibilities

• Take a residential file from inception through closing with attention to detail.
• Ensure compliance with contracts, settlement statements, mortgages, deeds, and title policies.
• Verify monetary amounts to satisfy mortgages, taxes and judgments; oversee fee collection.
• Prepare and review documents necessary for settlement.
• Coordinate with buyers, sellers and agents for a smooth settlement.
• Review legal documents for accuracy, notarization, and proper recording.
• Update proprietary software with follow-ups and data entry.

Location: All – Annapolis, Severna Park, Towson, Southern MD

Reports To: Branch Manager

Works Directly With: Pre- and Post-Closing Processing teams, Branch Manager and Branch Settlement Officers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Taking a residential title file from inception through closing with persistent attention to detail and follow up.
• Ensuring compliance with contracts, settlement statements, mortgages, deeds, and policies of title insurance.
• Verifying that monetary amounts are correct to satisfy all mortgages, taxes and judgments, and overseeing the collection of all fees and charges associated with the settlement.
• Preparing and reviewing documents necessary for settlement.
• Coordinating with buyers, sellers and real estate agents to obtain all of the information necessary to facilitate a smooth settlement experience.
• Reviewing all legal documentation to ensure that it is accurate, properly notarized and recorded, and prepared and submitted in proper form.
• Updating proprietary software with follow-ups, results, and other data entry.
