Tulane University’s Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office seeks a Pre-Award Specialist to manage budgets and financial aspects of clinical research, ensuring compliant billing and efficient workflows in New Orleans.
Your responsibilities include developing, negotiating, and executing budgets for clinical trials; performing Medicare coverage analyses; providing training and support on Tulane’s clinical trial management system; and serving as a financial resource across the research team.
This is a full-time position within the Tulane Cancer Center Clinical Trials Office. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure sound financial management of clinical research within the university by providing financial support for clinical trials, as well as guidance on research finance clinical research staff and administrators. Responsibilities include developing, negotiating, and executing budgets for clinical trials; performing Medicare coverage analyses for clinical trials to confirm billing compliance; providing management, training, and other support related to Tulane’s clinical trial management system. This position also serves as a resource for guidance on issues related to clinical research finance and provides ongoing education to support research budgeting, labor distribution, financial management, invoicing, and other topics. The Pre-Award Specialist also contributes information and ideas related to areas of responsibility as part of a cross functional team. Ensures effective and efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards for staff/program and self.
