Job summary

Dartmouth Health is hiring a Clinical Trial Budget and Activation Specialist to support pre-award and activation activities, including Medicare Coverage Analyses, budget development, and negotiation with sponsors and CROs.

The role manages studies through full pre-activation workflow, collaborating with investigators, finance, contracting, and regulatory teams to resolve billing questions and remove activation barriers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Four+ years of research administration or related experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare/academic research administration and knowledge of electronic research systems.
• CTMS, Medicare Coverage Analysis, billing compliance and/or budgeting/contracting knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Supports review and submission of proposals, contracts and materials to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensures collaboration with offices (IRB, IACUC, EHS, Compliance) through project lifecycle.
• Executes signature approvals per policy and shares funding opportunities with the team.
• Initiates study registrations in pre- and post-award systems; acts as liaison to sponsors.
