Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred and 1–3 years of research administration experience.
• Experience with web-based applications and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to interpret funding announcements and manage pre-award activities with compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the grant proposal submission process, including budget development for new, non-competing, and competing submissions.
• Prepare RPPRs and JITs and advise PIs on policies and due dates.
• Interpret FOAs/RFPs and summarize requirements for PIs; collect biosketches and other support documents.
• Assist investigators with entering proposals in electronic grant portals and ensure sponsor compliance.
• Review budgets and conduct initial compliance screening (budget, page limits, indirect costs, cost sharing).
• Maintain regular communication with PIs and sponsors; escalate complex questions to senior staff.
